Magical launch event for The Irish Fairy Door Company

Journalists from a range of national newspapers, magazines and online blogs as well as the toy trade media and a number of celebrity mums enjoyed a magical afternoon tea with their children in London today, to celebrate the arrival of The Irish Fairy Door Company in the UK.

Celebrity mums Imogen Thomas, Laura Hamilton and Emma Stephens joined the journalists and bloggers at the exclusive event in an enchanted woodland-themed bar hidden in an exclusive West End eaterie. Entertained by two human fairies, guests were treated to a sumptuous champagne afternoon tea whilst they learned more about The Irish Fairy Door Company from co-founder, Niamh Sherwin-Barry.

The event celebrated the launch of the company which helps fairies relocate into human homes with its range of high quality handmade wooden Irish fairy doors. Addressing the guests at the start of the event, Niamh explained, “We’ve already re-homed 150,000 fairies in just 18 months and we need your help to find homes for even more of our winged friends.”

Lesley Singleton of Playtime PR, who organised the event, commented, “We’re so pleased with the success of the launch event. We attracted a healthy mix of national publications, the all important trade media, a number of high profile lifestyle and parenting bloggers who boast a quality online presence, plus a handful of VIP mums who absolutely loved the product. The celebration secured branded exposure in the Mail Online, Reveal and OK! Magazine, and the social media engagement has been phenomenal. The event was a key part of our plans to help The Irish Fairy Door Company make a big splash in the UK and was also the most perfect platform to unveil the new premium packaging, which generated a huge amount of positive feedback.”

The exquisite fairy doors are available in a variety of colours and styles (RRP £20). There are also stunning vinyl decals and add-ons, such as fairy doormats and washing lines with either male or female clothing, available to enhance the fairy home from just £3.99.
